In a state famous for its beef and its love of steak, Houston — a city recently called “the new capital of southern cool” by GQ magazine — stands apart as the number-one Texas steakhouse destination.
At Pappas Bros. Steakhouse in the city’s Galleria area, the wine program is widely regarded as the best list in the state, with one of the deepest cellars and one of the most thoughtfully curated collections of French, Italian, and Californian wine, among many others countries represented (Germany, Greece, Lebanon, etc.).
The restaurant doesn’t have just one Master Sommelier on staff: Two — yes, two! — Master Sommeliers work the floor nightly. And many of the floor sommeliers are Master Sommelier candidates. Every single table gets a visit from a sommelier (we’re talking from personal experience here).
When you visit, they’ll be happy to pour you the Sansonina 2000 Rosso (bin 69038). We couldn’t be more proud to be part of this superb program!
